Ti-Chung Cheng

소개

Ti-Chung is a Senior Applied Scientist in the CHISE Lab at Microsoft. His applied research spans human–AI interaction and software engineering, with a focus on where and how large language models can support individual and team productivity.

He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (opens in new tab) in 2026. His doctoral research introduced and empirically evaluated Quadratic Surveys (opens in new tab), a method that supports collective decision-making by enabling individuals to express what they prefer and how strongly they prefer it. His work has appeared at CHI, CSCW, SIGMOD, and the ACM Collective Intelligence Conference, with a co-authored paper receiving a CHI Best Paper Honorable Mention.
